Veteran programs are now an explicit discovery track: nationwide federal; San Antonio, Bexar County and Texas; plus selective searches of other state and local official sources. Coverage is not exhaustive, and business eligibility is not assumed.
Certified SDVOSBs can compete for eligible federal set-asides and sole-source awards. Certified VOSBs can compete for eligible VA Vets First opportunities. A VOSB certification does not create a governmentwide VOSB set-aside. Check each notice and current certification requirements.
VA OSDBU provides veteran-business guidance. Search current bid notices on SAM.gov; VA forecasts are planning leads, not open solicitations. Program pages are resources, not bid feeds.
Texas VetHUB supports eligible service-disabled veteran businesses in state contracting and subcontracting. It has separate state eligibility and certification requirements. Check ESBD, DIR and each solicitation’s subcontracting plan; federal VetCert is not interchangeable.
The City’s veteran-owned small business preference may apply to specified solicitations. Check the notice and required VOSB identification form. A preference is not a veteran-only set-aside.
Review County purchasing notices and its small, local and veteran business policy. Verify the applicable certification, location and participation requirements in each package; do not assume federal eligibility carries over.
Track explicitly identified 8(a), small-business, veteran, and other set-asides. Participation depends on the program and notice requirements.
Find public forecasts and contracting resources. Some contract-vehicle opportunities require holder access and are not covered by this public search.
Explore SBA-backed financing through participating lenders. This is a financing program, separate from government contract notices.
